  6. OE22- ACT ENROLL @ CONNECTCAROLINA Print/save confirmation statement!

  7. OE22- ACT Current participants will default to 70/30 PPO Plan Must take action to enroll in the 80/20 PPO Plan Must re-enroll to make contributions to a Flexible Spending Account Must upload verification documents when adding dependent(s) to plans

  8. OE22- ACT Complete the annual Tobacco Attestation Lower your premium by $60 a month Employees must attest to either not using tobacco or visit a CVS MinuteClinic for at least one tobacco cessation counseling session or risk losing their monthly premium credit. Attest to being tobacco-free OR enroll to Visit CVS Minute Clinic (Subscribers only)

OE22- ACT Tobacco Attestation can be completed now through November 30, 2021 Can attend a tobacco cessation counseling session at a CVS MinuteClinic or Primary Care Provider s (PCP) office for FREE NO exceptions granted for not living near a CVS A claims process will be used to track cessation completions Members hired post OE will have the standard 90 days Tobacco Credit letters will go out to members weekly Upload office visit summary to the Document Center located in eBenefits, the Plan s enrollment system

OE22- FSA Highlights Healthcare Flexible Spending Account Annual maximum election $2,750 (per employee) Annual rollover amount for 2021 into 2022 Can roll over any amount over $25 up to entire available amount (including 2020 and 2021 remaining funds) Rollover amount from 2022 to 2023 will return to $550 Employees must re-enroll to continue contributions

OE22- FSA Highlights Employees cannot use current year funds for prior year expenses Account may be frozen Money must be paid back or claims incurred during current year are filed and equals what is owed Runout period means last day to file claims For 2020 accounts: April 30, 2022 Claims dated 1/1/2020-12/31/2020 For 2021 & 2022 accounts: March 31, 2023 Claims dated 1/1/2021-12/31/2021 (2021 money) & 1/1/2022- 12/31/2022 (2022 money)

OE22- FSA Highlights Dependent Daycare Flexible Spending Account Annual maximum election $5,000 (per household) Employees can use Day care change or other life event to make changes mid-year Services incurred after separation can be reimbursed up to the balance available in the account Grace period for 2020 account extended to 12/31/2021 Grace period for 2021 account extended to 12/31/2022

OE22- FSA Highlights Runout period means last day to file claims For 2020 accounts: April 30, 2022 Claims dated 1/1/2020-12/31/2021 For 2021 & 2022 accounts: March 31, 2023 Claims dated 1/1/2021-12/31/2022 (2021 money) & 1/1/2022- 12/31/2023 (2022 money) Runout periods hold rollover funds, not allowing funds to be used for current year expenses until that period is over Current year funds will be used for current year expenses prior to rollover funds being used

  15. OE22- FSA Reminders You cannot pre-pay for services You cannot use current year contributions for prior year expenses Changes can only be made to these plans in the middle of the year with a valid life event HCFSA: Marriage, birth, adoption, death of a dependent, divorce DDCFSA: Day care changes such as stop, start, change in costs

  16. OE22- FSA Reminders Continuation after Employment DDCFSA: You cannot continue the DDCFSA but you can use funds in your account for expenses incurred through the end of the plan year. HCFSA: If you leave employment: Do not have to pay back any money used above what you contributed Any money not used is forfeited unless continue through COBRA If retiring January 1, choose COBRA if you have rollover funds, no more money owed, can use your rollover for up to 18 months.

  17. Important Points to Remember Members need to SAVE their choices at the end of the enrollment Printing out their confirmation statement is also recommended! Members that call into the call center to complete their enrollment will NOT receive a mailed confirmation statement. Please check address in Connect Carolina and make sure it s correct so that you can receive your ID cards.
