Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a social event a local charity gala. The evening was filled with excitement and a sense of community. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly conversations. The venue was beautifully decorated with table settings and lights. Throughout the event, there were various activities to engage in, from a silent auction to live music performances. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the speeches given by representatives of the charity. What struck me most was the sense of unity and compassion present in the room. Individuals from all walks of life came together. It was truly heartwarming to witness people's dedication to helping others. The event concluded with a delicious dinner. As I left the gala, I felt inspired and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful gathering.
Exercise F: In a small group, brainstorm ideas for these possible writing topics. Then work in groups to write a paragraph (150 words). I had a really bad meal at a restaurant. The food was not good. The chicken was dry and tasteless, and the vegetables were overcooked. The portion sizes were small, and it felt like we didn't get enough for what we paid. The service was also not great. The waiter seemed disinterested and took a long time to take our order and bring our food. We had to wait quite a while before our plates were cleared as well. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not pleasant either. It was noisy and crowded, making it difficult to enjoy our meal. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I wouldn't go back to that restaurant again.

We have a wide variety of traditional dishes that reflect our culture and history. Breakfast is considered an important meal, and many people enjoy having bread, cheese, and tea or coffee in the morning. Lunch is typically the largest meal of the day, and it often includes rice, vegetables, and meat or fish. Dinner is usually lighter and may consist of soup, salad, or sandwiches. Snacking between meals is common, with popular choices being fruits, nuts, or yogurt. Additionally, we have a strong tea- drinking culture, and it is common to have tea breaks throughout the day. In terms of dining etiquette, it is customary to wait for everyone to be seated before starting to eat, and it is polite to compliment the cook on the deliciousness of the food. Overall, our eating habits in my country emphasize a balanced diet and the enjoyment of sharing meals with family and friends.
