Mokitinyane Nthimo, a professional with a background in biology, fisheries management, and public & development management, has been actively involved in projects focusing on climate change adaptation and sustainable practices in Lesotho. Currently affiliated with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Nthimo's work includes strengthening capacities for climate change adaptation, implementing land and water management practices, and promoting diversified livelihood strategies to enhance resilience in mountain regions.

Strengthening capacity for climate change adaptation through Strengthening capacity for climate change adaptation through support to the Integrated Watershed Management Programme support to the Integrated Watershed Management Programme Background Aligned with the NRM, agriculture and food security related priorities of NAPA Major interventions focused on development of technical capacity and demonstration of adaptation practices in three districts covering 3 livelihood zones (Mountains, Lowlands and Senqu river valley) Project sites Mafeteng, Quthing and Thaba-Tseka

5. Project objectives Implement land and water management practices and resource conservation measures to reduce vulnerability and enhance adaptive capacity Strengthen diversified livelihood strategies focusing on crops, livestock and agroforestry systems

6. Project Components 1. Strengthen technical capacities of staff and institutions on sustainable land and water management and climate resilient livelihoods 2. Assess vulnerability of livelihoods and impacts of climate change on land suitability and use at the watershed scale 3. Promote tested SLM/W practices to build resilience to climate risk 4. Strengthen diversified livelihood strategies 5. Disseminate best practices
