  5. What is Induction? A two year period of support for new teachers With an assigned support provider who is a veteran teacher trained to mentor new teachers Focused on your professional development based on your teaching assignment and your current knowledge and skills The cost is just over $4000 a year but currently there is a state grant to cover the cost for public school teachers.

  7. FACT Starts with gathering information about your class, school and community and your attitudes, skills and knowledge Proceeds with an Inquiry which is very similar to action research and will focus on an area of teaching you need to improve Ends with a reflection on what you learned and what you still need

  8. How is Induction Different From the Credential Program? Compare the Induction process with your experiences in teacher preparation How are they similar? How are they different?
