Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) provides opportunities for undocumented young people, known as Dreamers, who were brought to the United States as children. The program allows them to live, work, and study in the US without deportation fears. Over 700,000 Dreamers have benefited from DACA and come from various countries, with many residing in states like California and Texas. Qualifying criteria include arriving before age 15, residing in the US since 2007, being in school or having a GED, and having no criminal record.
