  1. The administration and faculty want you to make good choices, not inhibit your style. Prom should be a fun and memorable evening for everyone; however, we want everyone to be comfortable and safe.

  2. The bust line continues around your side directly under the armpit. These dresses meet dress code.

  4. Dresses must be able to remain at 3 inches above the knee while walking and dancing in the dress. These dresses meet the dress code.

  5. #4 No pinning will be allowed as an alteration for a dress if without the pins the dress does not meet the dress code. #5 Fabric inserts must be sewn as alterations to the dress. #6 No cover-ups (shawls, wraps, sweaters, coats) will be allowed over dresses that do not meet the dress code. #7 Undergarments should not be visible.

  6. To verify that your dress meets the established prom guidelines, you should contact Ms. Pickers in Room 127 or at ashley.pickers@opelikaschools.org These dresses meet dress code.

  7. While attending a formal event, dress shoes are appropriate footwear for gentlemen. While attending a formal event, shirts should be worn at all times.

  8. Guest Request Forms are due by 4:00pm on March 29th. A good quality picture ID with name and birthdate must accompany the form. No middle school students or middle school aged students are allowed as guests. No one over the age of 20 is allowed.

  9. Students must purchase their own tickets. Tickets will be on sale Tuesday, April 2-Friday, April 5. April 2-4: $50, April 5: $70 Tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

  10. Once students enter the dance, they are not allowed to leave and re-enter. Objects prohibited at school are also prohibited at Prom. Lewd, obscene, and vulgar dancing is prohibited at all OHS dances and will result in immediate removal from the dance.
