The Seventh Annual Intracoastal Waterway Cleanup in September 2014 focused on reducing pollution in city waterways and beyond, increasing participation with a focus on volunteer safety and convenience, and expanding volunteer experiences. The event covered 26 miles of saltwater canals and over 2 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway, aiming to raise awareness in conjunction with International Coastal Cleanup Day. Various community groups, organizations, sponsors, and donors supported the cause, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for volunteers. The event also featured a mascot-naming campaign, volunteer experiences by land and water, and a dedicated event headquarters with air conditioning. Overall, it was a successful initiative with increasing participation and positive feedback over the years.
