Coast Regional Transit Center (RTA) Coast RTA is Headquartered in Conway Serves Horry & Georgetown Counties 10 bus routes and paratransit service
Project Background Coast RTA originally a car dealership in the 1950s Current functions and Conway Facility: o Administration o Operations o Maintenance o Customer Service/Passenger Waiting Area There is a project in process to examine options for a new site and facility
Coast RTA Needs a New Home Operations and Maintenance Facility Aging Facility Can t lift vehicles for maintenance inside the facility Not enough space for parking Site cannot be fully secured Shared with Conway Passenger Transfer Facility

Process Site Selection: Bus Maintenance and Operations Facility
Process Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility Site Development Moving administration, operations, and maintenance to a new site south of the Intercoastal Waterway Preferred Site is in the process of being reviewed by FTA with the goal being to receive a NEPA Categorical Exclusion Mix of local and federal funding will be used to purchase property and construct the facility Potential for partnership with private developer for a mixed-use development on site
