  21. MAP Growth Remote Testing Recommendations

  22. Considerations for Remote Testing How will the data from this assessment be used? Product functions the same when administered remotely Students will need a supported device that meets minimum requirements Proctors will need a means to communicate with students outside of the platform in case of Confirming the test, Pausing, Rapid-guessing, etc. Secure Browser will prevent access to communication tools such as Zoom, or Chat/Email Proctors own troubleshooting with Parents

  23. Purpose of MAP Growth testing If MAP Growth is administered for placement or special program decisions, consider in-person testing if possible MAP Growth is designed to help teachers understand students learning gaps A successful MAP Growth test will have students get around 50% correct and 50% incorrect It is important that students answer honestly for questions they do not know Help students and parents understand these key points that differentiate MAP Growth from other assessments

  24. Technology Please confirm System Requirements and ensure students have a supported device via CAP Help Center If using communication software such as Zoom or Chat/Email on the same device, students will need to test outside of the Secure Browser at http://test.mapnwea.org When outside of the Secure Browser, students will have full internet access while testing Students needing Text to Speech or in grades K-2 will need headphones for the provided audio Remote Proctor Troubleshooting Guide also available

  25. MAP Growth Data Usage Use caution when making decisions on data from Remote Testing Guide available on How to Leverage MAP Growth Data for Virtual Instruction MAP Growth Data for Virtual Learning PDF Guide MAP Growth Data for Virtual Learning Webinar
