  7. How Do ICA and Academics Interact? On an Institutional level: Athletics/Academic interaction is ultimately governed by UFS IAC 67-00 Athletes are excused from class for contests. It is an excused absence and they are responsible for making up the work in a reasonable time period. The UFS IAC approves all schedules. No team may schedule more than 8 missed class days.

  8. How Do ICA and Academics Interact? On a personal level: We sell you as the reason to come to Brandywine. We support you. Our players are here to get an education. We believe you first. We ask for feedback and respond to it.

  9. Academic Monitoring We monitor our athletes every three weeks. Week 3: Are they attending class? Week 6: Are they making normal progress? Have they met with their professors, used available resources, or talked to their adviser. Week 9: Should they be meeting with their advisor? We do not advise but push them toward the resources they have available.

  10. Dear Professor Kelly, This is the last academic monitoring report for Spring 2016. We request your response by Friday, April 1st. To our knowledge, the students listed below are in your class. Would you please take the time to review the table and mark their progress accordingly. Simply mark Y/N in the appropriate column and return to me. Normal Progress is defined as a C or better and Attending Regularly is determined by your standards. Please feel free to add any comments about specific students that we need to know. Thank you for your continued support of our athletic program. FirstName LastName Course Course # Section Regularly Attending Normal Progress Additional Comments Austin Katz SOC 15 1
