Step 1: Initial Ballot Each committee member fills out an initial ballot This step can be done prior to conference championships Expedites announcement of national s field Will require extreme secrecy of all committee members Ballot will be divided into two columns Column 1: clear national s contenders based on previous year s performance Column 2: potential national s contenders that require further comparison 7
