ECE Pathway Child Development Teach a nursery rhyme lesson, observe, preschool day ECE 1 A/B Taught same period time in class/ time in center ECE 2 In center full-time
ECE 1A (1) About 16 students divided into groups of 4 ECE 1B (2 1B (2) Rotate between class and center every other day Rotate between class and center every other day In class lesson planning and working on portfolio 1stterm support teachers In center support and teaching 2ndterm teach in groups Take turns being lead teacher Rest of group supports, each planning a center Write full lesson plans, circle & centers (teach at least 3x to toddlers and 3x to preschoolers) Act as Lead Teacher with 1A as support teachers Great modeling for 1A students!

Canvas in ECE Advantages Disadvantages No more paper trail! Takes some time to teach the students Everyone has access to it from the center and the classroom Every now and then it goes down or has issues Everyone can give feedback Easy for center teacher to help grade/evaluate
Student Self-Evaluations Video student with laptop Share video using OneDrive Students watch it and evaluate themselves in Canvas Allows teacher/director to evaluate more effectively as well Peers may also evaluate videos
