Harris Poll back in July – 1 in 6 Americans now use an e-Reader and are more likley to both read and purchase more books than non-users.
With that in mind the Free Library sought and received a grant from our Federal government and are launching the eReaders for Seniors program with 3 goals in mind:
1. To develop a better understanding of best practices for lending technology at the Free Library.
2. To increase users’ understanding of Free Library electronic and downloadable resources.
3. To increase users’ access to and knowledge of eReader devices.
Show of hands – How many here currently own an e-reader?
Natural resources are materials found in nature that can be used for economic gain, either renewable or non-renewable. They provide energy for various needs, including light, heat, transportation, and work. Fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas are examples of non-renewable resources formed over millions of years. They have pros such as ease of use and cons like habitat destruction and pollution. Renewable resources like sun, wind, and water are sustainable options for energy production.
