The program aims to update stakeholders on current directions, offer training opportunities, and enhance relationships between CDGRS, attendees, and applicants. The training format is transitioning back to in-person sessions for more effectiveness and improved interaction.

  5. ESM Training Remote ESM Trainings + Easier (for CDGRS and attendees) - Very rushed, even with reduced content - Less effective - Hard to track (who is watching? are they actually watching?) Stream Crossing Replacement Trainings Stream Crossing Trainings New Standard must be used on all stream crossing replacements contracted after 7/1/22 Trainings started April 2022 5 trainings complete, 1 in-progress CD must attend a training by 7/1/23 if they are going to continue to contract stream crossing replacement project www.dirtandgravelroads.org

  16. DGLVR Workshop 2022 (State College) - 49/66 CDs represented - 20 DCNR - ~130 attended full workshop - +40 for municipality day - - Removed some optional trainings (GIS, Admin) and optional field trip Reduced overall length from 2.5 to 1.5 days

Other Trainings: Administrative Administrative Training 1/18 Admin Training Scheduled: Hybrid at Penn Stater or via Zoom Registration available before Christmas Likely a second admin training next fall SCC holds smaller informal administrative trainings as needed for new staff www.dirtandgravelroads.org

  21. Other Trainings: GIS GIS Trainings Have held larger in-person trainings in past With COVID and GIS growing more complex, have moved more to one-on-one or one-on-few individual trainings. Other Trainings: New Hire Stream Training for Engineers (NEW TRAINING) Proposed Abbreviated stream training on new standard Likely 1.5 to 2 days, including day in the field Working on this winter.   24. Other Trainings: DGLVR Financial DGLVR Financial Training (NEW TRAINING) Proposed Separate from admin training, focused just on financial topics in more detail. Many CDs have financial people who just handle the books, this would be directed at them. Some CDs have people who do both Program/policy and financial tasks, this would provide them more financial detailed training as well. www.dirtandgravelroads.org

  26. DGLVR Regional Roundtables DGLVR Regional Roundtables Regional day meetings to promote discussion between CDs and with CDGRS/Program Attempted to start in winter 2019-20, derailed by Covid Planning to try to start again winter/spring 2023. www.dirtandgravelroads.org

  27. DGLVR Regional Roundtables DGLVR Regional Roundtables Minimal presentation from CDGRS/Program. More discussion: sharing experiences, projects, ideas, advice. Preliminary planning to hold 6 in regions across PA. CDs can choose what session(s) to attend. Not a one-size fits all agenda, will be guided by CDs.   29. Training Tracker Training Tacking Issues ESM tracking database is based on 20-year-old MS Access program, functionality is limited. Large variety of CD trainings discussed today, some mandatory, some potential, have been tracked in various ways through the years. www.dirtandgravelroads.org
