STEM skills include: Problem Solving: STEM requires breaking problems into small steps and thinking of multiple solutions. Creativity: In STEM mistakes and failed attempts are a good thing! Sometimes solving problems means coming up with creative answers! Inquiry Skills: Asking questions, proposing ideas, generating and testing solutions and making decisions are active ways to solve STEM problems through inquiry-based thinking. Engineering Design Thinking: This is the STEM process to help identify, research, build prototypes, test, redesign and further iterate or change a design to solve problems. Critical Thinking: Effective STEM learning requires an understanding of how to analyze information, evaluate designs, reflect on thinking and combine ideas. Collaboration: STEM is teamwork! Challenges are rarely solved by one person. It takes a team. 1) STEM STEM Career Career Connection Connection 2) 3) 4) 5) 6)
