  5. Key Takeaways for Course Offerings Middle school students top-ranked career cluster interests aligned with the courses in which high school students are authentically enrolled. 140 of our students intend to enroll in a 4-year institution. 73 intend to enroll in a 2-year community college. 45 intend to enroll in a TCAT or other trade school. 15 intend to go directly into the workforce. 28 intend to enlist in the military. 40 intend to start their own businesses.

  6. In Middle and High School Opportunity: We need to ensure all students take personal interest inventories and assessments in Naviance, beginning in grade 5, and students will carry their profiles all the way through middle and high school. Opportunity: We have an opportunity to implement student-focused career portfolios (not just course-focused). Because many CCTE teachers share the same students, we can help create a beautiful portfolio that includes work samples from multiple courses! Strength: One of my favorite ah-ha s on the survey was to see that students best self- score was for how they treat others. The indicator with the strongest level of agree/strongly agree reads, I treat people with respect, even when they dress differently from me.
