#YCProud Jessica Gaytan is a Clerical Assistant in the Counseling Department. When COVID-19 hit, and we had to move all services online, Jessica jumped into action. She converted our forms to be accessible and fillable online. She supported other departments in doing so as well. Working collaboratively, Jessica took the lead on developing a process to create a system for counselors to access student transcripts and pertinent information before meeting with a student on Zoom. Jessica spent many long nights addressing student, staff, and faculty questions. She was the critical clerical staff to assist our Peer Mentors. Also, as a single parent, Jessica suddenly became a homeschooling parent with the closure of schools. She juggled all of it with a smile and a positive attitude!
