Tasks Task 1: Software and Hardware Improvements * Delay of GSSI contract due to the pandemic - Contract extended: Dec. 2021 - Majority of work are done * New software release: End of April and June * Obtained Pavescan 2.0 in June 2020 * Evaluated and worked with GSSI to improve the system - Ex: arm connection broken - New features in software Ex: Playback range 3
Tasks Task 2: Development of AASHTO Data Collection and Analysis Specifications * Drafted laboratory puck calibration and field data collection procedures and training videos based on PaveScan1.0 * Updated puck calibration training video using 2.0 http://www.dot.state.mn.us/materials/dps/index.html * Plan to update field data collection video and the procedures using 2.0 by the end of May. * MnDOT: - Continued data collection: Th251(D6); Th95(M); Th2(D2); Th25(M) - 2021: pilot pay for data program vs pay for hour - Drafted a data format specification 4
Task 3&4: Precision and Bias Statement & Equipment and Operator Certification * Contract with NCAT in Dec. 2020 * Dr. Fabricio Leiva will give detailed testing plan * Round robin testing for lab puck calibration procedure. Task 5: Support Communication * Monthly meeting with FHWA * Continue to provide online support * Face to face meeting this fall or next spring? 5
Task 6: Provide Training and Technical Assistance * Have been providing online assistance and continue to do so * If needed, we can provide onsite training once we are allowed to travel. * FHWA mobile lab: loan program and provide training Task 7: Promote the technology * Craig Landefeld and Rich Giessel gave excellent presentations at FHWA DSP 101 workshop * FHWA mobile lab loan program * Presentations at our biweekly bituminous meetings & MEO meeting * Continue to promote the technology to contractors * Will make a brochure 6
