  1. PERRY CHEER REMINDERS AND INFO TO KNOW

  2. CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING THE TEAM Head Coach: Desiree Stinnett Assistant Varsity: Chanelle Johnson Junior Varsity: Cassie Markham Freshman: Nikki Libby Cheer Assistant: Lindsee Chang Frosh/JV Tumbling: Peter Manzer Varsity Tumbling: Dustin Santoni

  3. TUMBLING & COMP COACHING Required in house tumbling/ Comp Coaching Additional tumbling recommended if you are behind in skill level Freshman/ JV Monday nights Varsity Wednesday nights $50 the first of every month paid to the bookstore Checks made out to CUSD with Cheer in the memo Receipt always given to Coach Stinnett If you want a receipt as well then ask for two upon payment

  4. MONTHLY PAYMENTS Camp payment due this week to the bookstore. Follow the same instructions noted on the previous slide. $500 Can use tax credit Starting September you will receive monthly invoices from Coach Stinnett detailing your payments. There will be multiple payments a month to split up the fees detailed in your tryout packet.

  5. SUMMER Varsity stunt camp: May 31/ June 1 JV stunt camp: TBD The rest of our summer dates are listed on our website: https://www.cusd80.com/Page/66547

  6. EXTRA PRACTICES Will be held over break. All teams Saturday mornings 9am-11am July- October 28th,7-9am Starting October 28th- the end of basketball. Start date to be listed on band. Varsity weight lifting Monday s after school (start date will be listed on band) Additional practices at PHS or ELEMENT are occasionally called to prep for comp.

  7. COMPETITIONS Choreography don t make other plans these days Varsity: August 10/11 JV: August 24/25 Freshman: September 21/22 All teams compete 3-7 times Some athletes may be alternates Can be benched if miss practice two weeks before comp Competitions may be close to or during breaks See website for tentative schedule Varsity travels to CA for nationals Trimmed nails clean of all polish is mandatory

  8. CHEER GEAR Coach Stinnett will order some items- these will be reflected in your monthly payments Spirit clothes (fitted the day after tryouts) will be paid to the website listed on your order form. You have two weeks to purchase these items. Game day outfits require white tennis shoes Varsity uniforms will be paid to a varsity portal online- you will keep these. Until all items come in new girls need to wear Perry colors to class, practices, and on spirit days. No spanx, no spaghetti straps. Returners will have outfits assigned.

  9. CLASS Cheer is a class (3rdhour) Cheer is graded; a detailed syllabus will be sent home at the start of the school year Details and schedules can be found on the website. ABSOLUTLEY NO JEWLERY, and trimmed nails are mandatory

  10. GAMES Are mandatory and a class grade (basketball and football) Sometimes there will be multiple in a week Coaches and captains will relay bow, and hair information Red lipstick is mandatory (we will give girls the color to purchase) Athletes may be benched if they do not learn cheers and dances for the first game Varsity travels for football Absolutely NO jewelry and trimmed nails are mandatory

  11. SOCIAL MEDIA YOUR ENTIRE PRESENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA SHOULD BE POSITIVE AND APPROPRIATE. Athletes and parents are not to follow coaches You must follow the guidelines set forth in the social media portion of the contract at all times while a member of this program. You must allow Perry Cheer to follow your accounts. You may not post anything inappropriate EVER. Breaking your social media contract will have serious consequences. You have to decide what is more important; being cool or being a member of this program.

  13. COMMUNICATION Please remember there is a professional line to be kept between coaches and parents. Please communicate with coaches VIA email or band Please keep all communication respectful and constructive

  14. CONTRACT We read through this word for word If you have turned this in you have accepted your spot on the team. If you have not you need to return it upon your return to school. Must be signed by both you and your athlete. Please review it to ensure a smooth year adhering to all Cheer policies and procedures. Click HERE for copy of contract.
