Eligible customers can receive a subsidized annual pass for up to 12 months by enrolling in specific state benefit programs. The pass fully subsidizes trips on Metro and Sound Transit services. Subsidized annual pass Customers who are enrolled in one of six state benefit programs can receive a subsidized annual pass The pass is valid for up to 12 calendar months and is renewable each year, provided eligibility requirements are met The subsidized annual pass will fully subsidize trips on Metro and Sound Transit services. Customers will be able to ride on those services at no cost to them For trips on other transit agencies, the customer will need to add e-purse

In order to qualify, customers must Be enrolled in one of the following state benefit programs: Livein King, Pierce or Snohomish County Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) / State Family Assistance (SFA) Have proof of identity Pregnant Women Assistance (PWA) Not to be confused with WIC or Pregnancy Medical Be 6 years or older (parents can request a card on behalf of their youth) Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Not to be confused with Social Security Income Aged, Blind, or Disabled (ABD) Housing & Essential Needs (HEN) Not to be confused with Housing & Urban Development Expansions to program eligibility are expected in 2022 For information about these benefit programs: WashingtonConnection.org; (877) 501-2233

Helpful steps for enrollment For a smoother enrollment process, customers should: Confirm eligibility via enrollment in one of the state benefit programs Gather these items: Photo ID DSHS award letter, DSHS Client ID, or Social Security Number Call to enroll: Public Health CHAP Line: (800) 756-5437 DSHS Customer Service Center: (877) 501-2233 Note: case managers cannot apply on behalf of clients Check the website for updated hours of operation if in-person assistance is required: visit kingcounty.gov/SubsidizedAnnualPass

If cards are lost or stolen Customers who need to replace lost or stolen subsidized annual passes MUST contact King County Metro Best option: Call Metro s Reduced Fares Team at 206-477-4200 If in-person assistance is needed, visit: Metro s Pass Sales Office 201 S Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104 Monday Friday, 8:30am 4:30pm (closed 1:00pm 2:00pm) Seniors and higher-risk customers who need additional assistance can come into the office on Tuesdays from 8:30am- 9:30am and Thursday 3:30pm - 4:30pm Note: hours are subject to change with COVID-19 conditions
