Options and Criteria Option Criteria Options are possible ways the system might be transformed to align with Conflict-Free Access and Planning requirements. Options still need to be developed. The State has not chosen an option. Criteria are areas that may be impacted (positively or negatively) by changes to the system

Workgroup Updates: Developmental Disabilities Practice Improvement Team (DD-PIT) Overview of recent activity: Challenges regarding implementation of CCBHC for individuals with I/DD and MH, specifically verification of source of MH diagnosis when obtained from CC360 (i.e. ambulance companies, DME companies initiating a MH dx) Online membership application (https://arcmi.org/dd-pit-application/) is open at the DD-PIT webpage One application has been received Positions open: Adults and Youth with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Parents or Family Members of Adults and Youth with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Pre-Paid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP) or Community Mental Health Service Provider (CMHSP) Administrator (Utilization Management, Finance, or similar role), Representative of Independent Facilitators, Supports Brokers, or Independent Supports Coordinators Public Health Emergency Unwinding : Reinstatement of spend down requirement for C Waivers recipients at end of PHE How this work improves the lives of people served (quality): Administrative challenges impact behavioral health service delivery; need to prioritize quality and person s needs Use of Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) information by CMHSPs as outlined in BPHHASA s SIS guidance Impact on Individuals who receive supports Concerns about how system administrative requirements impact flexibility of supports BPHASA has concluded its HCBS Heightened Scrutiny public comment period.
