HVA on the Web What s new and how to access it?
School Wires Replaces School Fusion Each school is a part of the Knox Schools Site www.knoxschools.org/hardinvalley No login required for most pages Exception Library database passwords Student login - Username: Student ID number including s (s123456) Password: Same as password to access computer at school Faculty do not have pages available in School Wires
Parent Portal (Aspen) Link located by clicking Popular Links at the top of any Knox Schools page then Parent Portal
Parent Portal Login Username and password required Parents create account Contact Lavonne Pierce for details Students use: Username: student id number with the s (s123456) Password: same as password to access the computer
Parent Portal Contains Access to student grades Real Time Access to student attendance information Access to transcript May contain details on assignments and supporting documents

Canvas Course management tool Similar to D2L at PSCC and Blackboard at UT Optional for teachers Can contain: Course information Videos Course documents Dropbox to upload completed assignments Discussion boards Does not communicate with Aspen
