There is a site with an area of 400 perches situated in Dambulla. The owner of the land wants to develop that land into a park to promote eco-tourism. Assuming you are a landscape consultant, state your recommendations for the following requirements. Always justify your recommendations. State your assumptions clearly. 1. There are 5 trees of scattered Azadirachta indica, 10 trees of Tamarindus indica as a group and 3 trees of Cocos nucifera near the main entrance. All the trees are more than 20 years of age. Owner wants to know whether to keep these trees or not. The existing Brunfelsia calicina plants are not blooming as expected. The owner wants to have a colour theme for the park. The owner wants to create some new shady areas in the park and wants to have some flowers under the shade. There is a requirement of having a 30 m long, 1 m tall hedge along a curvy path. There is a 2-storied house closer to one side of the land. Owner wants to cover the sight of the house to the park. The owner wants to establish lawn grasses in an area of 100 perches including some areas under shade trees. The owner thinks adding a water garden will improve the appearance of the land, but will create lot of troubles later. The owner wants to have about 10 TEJC mango trees. The owner wants to have some scented flowers in the park. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
