Green Youth Movement Youth Bulge to Demographic dividend Pakistan faced with resource conservation issue and climate change The aim of the clubs is to sensitize and organize young people to contribute towards environmental conservation and green economy through actions that promote behavioral change and eco-innovation
Objectives Sensitize and organize youth for promotion of environmental conservation and eco-friendly behavior among masses Technically and financially invest in the demographic bulge of Pakistan-youth, and promote research and eco-innovation to spearhead environmental conservation and climate adaptation and mitigation To mentor and promote young eco-inventors at national, regional and international level Harness global breakthroughs on eco-innovations for Pakistan Help universities become living labs for green innovation and practices for example waste management, water conservation etc.

Delivery Platform Selection Process On-campus GYM-Clubs- 137 Public universities The oversight committee will launch a call for selection of the GYM club team. Interested candidates could submit application (Annexure- A) to the committee who will then short list candidates for Captain and Vice- Captain positon (2 in each category/position) against set criteria (Annexure-B). Operational cost PKR 200,000 After short listing of candidates for Captain and Vice-Captain position, by the oversight committee, university level elections will be held Captain The elected Captain and Vice-Captain in consultation with the oversight committee will select thematic leads and communication lead from the short listed candidates, after they have determined the thematic focus of the club VICE Captain Out of the 5 listed thematic areas, the club will have the liberty to choose minimum one and maximum two thematic areas to work on The entire process should not take more than 15 working days- 5 for call and submission of applications, 2 for short listing and sharing of selected candidates, 6 for election and 2 for selection of other team members by the elected Captain and Vice-Captain in coordination with the oversight committee THEMATIC LEADs OF FIVE AREAS Increasing membership of the GYM club is responsibility of each team member Members
Management Structure of clubs Oversight committee: VCs to constitute OC based on competence and background. Preferably young faculty members should be made part of the committee. OC will perform advisory role and keep an oversight on the financial planning and consumption. HEC Focal Person Captain: GYM club Captain will be the focal person for external and internal communication and outreach of GYM activities at the university level and regional level. Vice- Captain (VC): Support GYM Captain in achieving the goals set forth and liaison with the team for smooth sailing of the initiatives. In absence of the GYM Club captain, VC will assume the role of acting Captain. Thematic leads: will be responsible for technical planning and leading activities. They will also be responsible for mobilizing students on their respective thematic areas. Communication lead: will be responsible for the club s outreach and knowledge management. Will be responsible for setting up and running social media accounts and creating links with the mainstream media for highlighting work of the club. Members: university students can become part of their respective GYM club by registering on Kamyab Jawan portal. Each member can take part in activities planned by the club under the chosen thematic area(s).
