  6. Lakes Lough Neagh is Ireland s largest lake. It is in Northern Ireland. The counties of Antrim, Derry, Tyrone, and Down have shores on the lake. Armagh Can you find it on the map of Ireland?

  7. Oceans Ireland is an island and therefore is surrounded by water. The Atlantic ocean is in the west and north, The Celtic Sea is in the south and the Irish Sea is in the east.

  8. Cliffs Cliffs are steep rock faces often found at the edge of the sea. The Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare are Ireland s most famous cliffs.

  9. Beaches Beaches are made of sand and pebbles. There are thousands of beautiful beaches along Ireland s coast. This beach is Inch Strand in Co. Kerry.

  10. Bays and Headlands Bays are formed where the land curves inward along the coast. Headlands pieces of land that jut out into the sea. are narrow

  11. Bogs Bogs are common in the Irish countryside. Bogs are made of peat, which is brown in colour. Peat can be burned and used for fuel.
