  2. A Letter from the Superintendent A Letter from the Superintendent I wanted to take this opportunity to update our community on the progress of our school. I know that our district has gone through a lot of transition in the past year as we have implemented new systems, expectations and accountability for students and staff. Although this has been difficult, it has been necessary to provide the quality education that our students deserve. Through the course of this transition we have lost a lot of instructional staff. Some have retired, some have taken opportunities that have presented themselves, and others have moved on as they are not in support of this new system. To all of them, I wish them luck. As for our new staff, I am extremely excited for the level of professionalism, education, experience and enthusiasm that they will be bringing to our school. We have been able to bring in teachers that share the vision of meeting the needs of our students. These teachers will provide a rigorous and meaningful education, an education with experiences that help to build relevance and meaning as our students acquire real world skills to compete in their post secondary path. Our new teachers are eager to have their families become a part of the Goldbug community. Additionally, we will be sending out information on courses available to students in the near future. I hope that all of you will see what great educational opportunities your students will have in the upcoming school year in Fowler School District. As always, if you would like to meet with Mrs. McDowell and I, we would be happy to sit down with you to discuss any comments, questions or concerns that you might have. At this time, I hope you will join me in welcoming our new staff to Fowler. Mr. Jeff Bollinger Superintendent Fowler USD #225
