In the UAMS 2020 Employee Engagement Survey, eligible employees will participate to help improve engagement. The survey, conducted in February 2020, aims to measure employee alignment within the organization. Past survey results led to positive changes such as increased salaries, more appreciation events, and open discussions on engagement. Anonymity is ensured with a five-point response scale, and employee ID numbers are used for participation. The goal is to achieve a high participation rate and gather honest feedback to enhance the work environment at UAMS.

  4. We want to encourage participation, honest feedback and ensure anonymous responses What to Expect Anonymity and Responses We will use a five-point response scale. 1-Strongly Disagree, 2-Disagree, 3-Neither Agree or Disagree, 4-Agree, 5-Strongly Agree This response scale allows employees to respond in a truly neutral way. We are not forcing them to take sides. If the decision is made to trend data, additional Advisory Board survey items will be added to bridge the scores to Press Ganey engagement scores. Employee ID numbers will be used for survey participation. This is the best solution to prevent and detect multiple entries by one individual. Employee ID numbers are used to create the hierarchy for reporting results to their accurate departments. Employee ID numbers are removed before results are released to ensure anonymity. No survey items will be required. We would prefer employees have the ability to skip an item rather than give a forced or dishonest response. o E.g., an employee could be with UAMS for long enough to be invited to participate in the survey, but not have had enough experience/exposure to honestly respond to a particular item. Target Participation Rate UAMS 2018 Final 2020 Target Total 65.2% 75% 4
