  1. COMPLETING THE STUDENT SELF-REPORTED ACADEMIC RECORD (SSAR)

  2. WHAT IS THE SSAR? Required for many college applications including 9 Florida universities (FAU, FGCU, FL Poly, UF, FSU, New College, USF, UNF, FAMU) Listing of ALL courses and grades for courses completed or that will be completed in high school Applicants offered admission will send official transcripts which will be compared to the self-reported information Replaces sending the transcript during the initial application process ACCURACY IS KEY any discrepancies may lead to rescinding admission offers

  3. HOW DO I START? Create an account at https://ssar.selfreportedtranscript.com Use an email you check frequently and that is school appropriate Click "Create SSAR Account" Read the statement on the next page and select "Agree and Continue". Notice the last statement about accuracy.

  4. ENTER THE REQUESTED DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION Use your legal name, double check spelling, and make sure it matches the name on your application. LOGIN SCREEN Graduation year is 2023. Write down your password and/or email it to yourself. You will have a lot of accounts and don't want to forget it. Enter birthdate and address. Make sure you enter the correct birthdate.

LOGIN AND CLICK BEGIN Enter graduation date (May 2023) Enter high school information by clicking "Add School" in the bottom right - only enter the high school you are graduating from even if you have attended multiple high schools Confirm dates of attendance. If you are a typical 4 year graduate, dates of attendance are 08/2019 until 06/2023 Select Enter Coursework at bottom right

  6. ENTERING COURSEWORK IT IS EASIEST AND MOST ACCURATE TO DO THIS WITH A "PRINTED" COPY OF YOUR GRADUATION CHECKLIST Courses taken in middle school for high school credit MUST be included. Grades are entered by semester. If the credit is for a full year (1.0 credits earned, you will enter the grade twice, once for each semester. Enter your current, senior year courses, as "In Progress." Courses taken in the summer, are entered in the previous school year. Some frequently asked questions before you start Dual enrollment courses must be included, if the course awards a full year of credit, you will enter the grade twice (English, Science, and some Math courses check your transcript). Enter courses in the appropriate subject area. You must enter all coursework, including repeated courses or courses you were withdrawn from if they show on your transcript.

  10. WHAT COURSES GO WHERE? All English including dual enrollment ALL Math Algebra, Geometry, Alg 2, MCR, Precalc, AP Calc, IB, dual enrollmentk to add text ALL Science including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Space, AP or IB science add text US Govt, Economics, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Ethics, US History, World History, World Religions, African American History, Humanities, Ethics, Anthropology, Law Studies World Language classes including those taken in middle schoolhool Click to add text Everything else performing and practical arts, reading, gym, other electives must include ALL courses

  11. Provide all coursework in the appropriate Subject Areas, including the Generic Course Title, followed by the exact Course Name as listed on your high school transcript. Select the appropriate Course Level (College Prep, Honors, etc...) associated with the course. Grades should be reported as A, B, C, D, and F; senior-year courses must be listed as "In Progress" unless you have completed the first semester or have graduated from high school. If you earned high school credit while in middle school, you must list those courses and grades. Double check for accuracy and ask someone else to proof for you as well before submitting as complete. After completion, you will have an SSAR number to add or link to your individual college applications. FINAL REMINDERS
