  2. Pharisees believed in a very strict adherence to the Law of Moses. Exodus 20: 8 - 11 Consider Numbers 15:32 36 But Jesus noted an exception to the commandment 1 Samuel 21: 1 6 Therefore, what Jesus was doing with His disciples was not unlawful! After all, note His additional statement: The sabbath was made for man, and NOT MAN FOR THE SABBATH: therefore, the Son of Man is Lord also of the sabbath.
