OBJECTIVES I will have a discussion about the importance and relevance of opening and closing a lesson. I will read articles about Additional Ways to Open & Close a Lesson I will list additional strategies for opening and closing a lesson that I can implement into my classroom starting tomorrow.

WHAT ARE THE WAYS I CURRENTLY OPEN A LESSON? On the handout provided, please list up to 5 ways you currently open a lesson. ***After you have had a chance to list your ideas, work with a partner/table group to jot down additional ideas.
SKIM THE ARTICLE/MARK TEXT Skim the article, Ways to Open Your Lessons , and mark the text with the following . Place a STAR next to NEW IDEAS that you would like to implement PLACE an X next to NEW IDEAS that you would NOT like to implement Place a ? next to NEW IDEAS that you would like to research a bit further. ***Please list up to 5 new ideas on your handout that you put a star next to be prepared to share with a partner/table group.
