  2. MEMORY VERSE: My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips . (Psalm 89:34) TEXT: Psalms 86:1-17; 87:1-7; 88:1-18; 89:1-52

  3. WHAT IS A COVENANT? A covenant is an agreement between two or more people to do a particular thing. Both parties have roles to play in order to keep the covenant. It is different from an ordinary promise, whereby only the person who promises has a role to play to fulfil the promise.

  4. God, our heavenly father, is a covenant-keeping God. He has never failed to keep His A COVENANT KEEPING GOD covenant with His chosen people. Ana as He did in old times, He can also do today. He made many covenants with the children of Israel and fulfilled them.

  5. BIBLE EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO BENEFITED GOD S PROMISES NOAH After the destruction of the world, God told Noah, who was a righteous man, that He would never destroy the world with a flood again. Since then, God has kept His word. The covenant (rainbow) appears in the sky after a heavy downpour. No matter how heavy the flood is, it cannot destroy the world. Our God is faithful.   9. AS COVENANT CHILD Today we have a better and lasting covenant through Jesus Christ. He died and shed His blood, so that the sinful boys and girls can come into the covenant relationship with God to enjoy the fulness of His promises.

  10. To enter a covenant relationship with God, the sinner, must take these steps: i. Accept that he is a sinner ii. Believe that God loves him, and Jesus died for his sins. iii. Repent and confess all his sins to God. iv. Pray for forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. v. Invite Jesus to come into his heart to be his Saviour, Lord and Friend. vi. Thank God for making him partake of the covenant blessings. vii. Continue to follow Jesus by praying every day, reading God's word, thinking on it and obeying it.
