EDUCATION for a better life
Our education The faculty has 8 education programmes at basic level. At advanced level we have 3 master of science education programmes, around 10 specialist nurse programmes and a mid- wife programme. The faculty also offers a health science introduction year and a range of individual education courses in the field of medicine and health.

Our educational organisation Education on basic and advanced level The faculty s Education Board has the financial and strategic responsibility for our education programmes on basic and advanced level. Below the Education Board we have 4 progamme boards who work with development, planning and management of education courses and programmes on the Education Board s behalf.
Post graduate education The faculty has approximately 1000 PhD students, of which 80% are part-time students and 20% full-time Full-time PhD student: 4 years (PhD student employed by Lund University) Part-time PhD student: 8 years (PhD student has another employer, such as the regional health care provider) Doctorate in one subject: Medical science/Doctor of Medical science Approx. 150 disertations per year
