3. Definition of research methodology Research refers to a detailed study of a subject, especially in order to discover new information or reach a new understanding. 3

4. Whats research Research is a logical and systematic search for new and useful information on a particular topic. 4

5. Whats Methodology Refers to a system of doing, teaching or studying something. 5

6. Types of research Basic Research Applied Research Quantitative and Qualitative Research 6

7. Basic Research Basic research focuses on the search for truth or the development of theory and it also can be called theoretical research. 7

8. Applied Research Applied research is set on providing answers to specific questions to provide a solution to a defined problem. 8

9. Qualitative research refers to research which focuses on collecting and analyzing words (written or spoken) . 9

10. Quantitative research focuses on measurement and testing using numerical data body language or visual elements. 10
