What’s Google Classroom for?
 
It replaces the old virtual learning environment (VLE - like Frog)
Encouraging us going paperless!
Allows you to become more independent learners!
 
How can I access it?
 
From a phone / tablet - via the app that can be downloaded from
App Store or Google Play
 
From any internet browser
 
How can I see my classes?
 
If you look on the google Classroom app - it’ll have all your classes ready for you
You have already been enrolled to all your classes - the same as your timetable!
 
What if I can’t see all my classes?
 
Your subject teacher will be able to display this code for  your class when asked :)
 
What can I expect from my teachers?
 
Your teachers will be
using google classroom
to set assignments  that
you can complete online
and hand in online
(going paperless)
When you hand in an
assignment it will be
marked / given
feedback on via
comments from your
teachers
 
What kind of tasks can I expect to be doing on
Google Classroom?
 
You will be asked to complete either:
Research tasks
Quizzes
Discussions
Exam questions
Revision tasks
Critique videos / make your own revision video!
… the possibilities are endless!!!
 
Avoid Microsoft!
 
Get used to using Google Docs, sheets & slides.  Download the apps:
 
Make use of your personal Google Drive:
 
Docs, sheets, slides
are saved
automatically into
your drive
 
You can share them
easily with your teacher.
 
Familiarise yourself with your Google Drive layout. You will need to set-up folders and organise your work
and so you can easily find stuff.
 
If you have any questions...
 
After Wednesday all teachers will have a know-how of what we will be using Google
Classroom for … But...
Please let your tutor know if you do not have easily accessed internet access
before the end of the week!
