Please make sure children arrive at school between 8.40 and 9.00 –
children will 
go straight into class, as they did last year
Children need to be collected at 3.15pm unless they go to Rainbow Club or
are independent travellers
Mobile phones may be brought by independent travellers but MUST be
handed in to the teacher on arrival and NOT used on the school premises
at home time.
Lunch time: 12.30 – 1.30
Long morning - encourage children to bring a healthy snack for break time

Punctuality & Attendance
 
Good attendance to school is vital for your child’s progress.
Punctuality – the first lesson will start promptly at 9.00.
Should your child be unwell, please let the office know in the morning.
If your child has any symptoms of COVID 19 – persistent
cough, temperature, loss of taste or smell – you need to book a test and
self-isolate until the results come back. Please let the school office know.
Remember - holidays should be taken in holiday time and if they
are not, parents will be fined.

Home Learning
 
In year 6 the children are given 6 homework books – focus on skills required for SATs:
o
English – 
Grammar;  Spelling; Punctuation
o
Maths – 
Arithmetic;  Number, Ratio & Algebra; Geometry, Measures & Statistics
 
Each week on 
Thursdays
 they will be given 
one of these English and one of these Maths books
 to
take home – 
they should only work on the pages indicated by the teacher.
 
It is vital the children complete the set pages and bring the books back to school on
Mondays
 when the work is assessed and marked in class by the children.
 
We will also send home 
library books
 and 
spelling lists – children need to
    learn all Year 3,4,5 & 6 words.

Sanctions could be:  moving seat, missing break and/or lunch,
working in another class or office of senior staff, internal or external
exclusion
Parents always informed of serious incidents and ongoing patterns of
poor behaviour
