  4. Were delighted that almost every child is considered happy here We are very happy with our daughters' experience at Meadowside. She is thriving and learning and enjoys going to school as well as wrap around care Totally Agree 61% Both my sons enjoy this school and are thriving. I also think the teachers and staffing team are brilliant. My youngest was pupil of the week recently and was allowed to bring Ozzy home. 93% agree Agree From the moment of our first school visit, we loved this enthusiasm and ethics of the teaching staff here. We re so glad that our daughter got a place at this school and she absolutely loves this school. 32% Neither Agree or Disagree 6% Issues are not dealt with in a timely manner. Parents are often brushed off. Governor Comment : It is wonderful to see that the vast majority of children are considered happy here at Meadowside. To see vocabulary such as thriving in parent responses is really encouraging and testament to the work that the staff put in.

  5. Were delighted that almost every child feels safe here The bullying was more she was being poked during class so not severe but the class teacher dealt with it quickly and effectively. No more problems. 3% 2% 61% Meadowside I cannot fault any aspect at all the teachers are phenomenal, the reception staff are amazing in every way and the care he has received is beyond incredible. 48% 41% 34% She feels safe, supported and that her education is given at her level. I am concerned about the safety of the children and adults waiting outside the school gates in the morning. There are not enough railings and children and adults have to walk on the road. Governor Comment : As a governor, I am thrilled to see that so many parents are identifying that their children are safe here. The survey also highlights how issues that have arisen have been dealt with quickly and effectively by staff.

  6. The school lets me know how my child is doing My youngest is going through a diagnosis process (via school) and the school have been very supportive. 6% 2% I worry about him a lot as he was described as being "behind" before starting school so it's lovely that his hardwork and that he is trying was recognised. My children also love MASC and look forward to attending. 42% 50% Children that require support in classes with aids such as fidget toys are not carried through. This is not helpful to those that struggle with change. Staff do not hand over from year group to year group and so are completely unaware of children s circumstances if they require extra support. I have not always been made aware of issues until parents evening has been called which has then opened up a wider range of issues Governor Comment: It is evident that although the staff strive to communicate effectively with parents without overloading them with information, there is still some work to be done in this regard. It is really helpful that surveys such as this can bring this to the attention of the school so that it can be addressed.

  7. I would recommend this school to another parent 5% I am very much impressed with the staff management at Meadowside. Each and every individual I/my son have had the pleasure to meet have been kind, caring and genuinely passionate. Very proud to say my son attends this school. 95% I am happy with the progress and achievements my child continues to make at Meadowside. I feel she is thriving. On the occasion bullying was reported it was dealt with promptly. However my child has since had a few other issues with the same child and when I asked if they told teacher, they expressed they had difficulty getting a chance to raise issues with teacher as often occurs when they are too busy. Governor Comment: The positivity around parents who would recommend our school is fantastic and as a governor, I am very proud to be a part of that.

  8. And some final comments parents / carers wanted to share Can't fault the school at all. All staff are supportive and genuinely care about each and every student. The staff go above and beyond to not only support the children but the family also. Amazing school with amazing values! I m happy, always have support from school staff. Thank you for all what you doing for our children My son moved to the school at the start of year 1 and has thrived. We had previous issues with his old school and I felt unhappy with my choice from day one in reception for a number of reasons. this school has gone above and beyond for my sons in the time they have been attending they have come on alot this schools helped them come out of themselves more and they always speak highly of how happy they are here I feel that regular conversations/questions with the children on how they are feeling and any issues with peers can be checked upon. What may feel like a small thing to staff may feel like a big thing for children and their issues need to be listened to and not dismissed. Perfect school my daughter struggled with transition at nursery near the end and did on settling days however staff supported her amazingly well and she now goes into school confidently and loves school!!! She comes home happy and looking forward to going back and she feels recognised and rewarded for her good behaviour. I m so happy. feedback would be amount of communication sent out sometimes 3 texts a day and most days a text. My child is really struggling going into school in the mornings, queuing up outside with large volumes of people and having to wait is building her anxiety the chaos in the morning because the gates are not open until 8.45am is ridiculous. It s unsafe and causes so much congestion Governor Comment :It is always helpful to hear parents views, both positive and negative so that the staff at school can continue to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
