Global Elevations by Type Nominations are recorded by the nominating entity, which may be none or the nominator s selected OU. The selected OU may be a section, society, or affinity group. Region 3 has the highest raw number count of nominations-by- sections (combined 120 in- section and 62 out-section) worldwide. 182 total section nominations brings in $1820 extra into the sections (1460 no- nominator == $1460 left on the table this year) Grand Total Nominator Type Affinity Group In section nomination No nominator Out of section nomination Society Grand Total R1 R10 R2 R3 R4 R5 R6 R7 R8 R9 4 1 99 19 120 6 49 180 2072 108 146 152 158 507 109 820 96 14 73 14 62 32 16 42 8 39 6 7 216 2287 147 328 198 233 573 135 919 141 1 2 2 8 15 43 34 1 1 1 13 406 4348 311 99 5177 13 9 41 1 14 8 2 8 14 Note that sections not only receive a higher rebate per member for senior members, but when a section is the selected nominating entity they also receive $10 per nominated member at the end of the year. Out of section nominations: The number of members of a section who were nominated by someone who selected a different section. Member is in section A but nominator is in section B. Section A gets the $1 increased member rebate annually but section B gets the $10 end of year rebate. 7

There are 3560 Members in the Region with more than 10 years of membership who will be eligible. This is not counting the very experienced members who are new to IEEE. No data to estimate from. 2024 PLAN OF ACTION Will contact the Life Members to elevate them to Senior Life Members. Many of these members erroneously believe that because they are Life Members, they are also Senior Life Members. Connect with the R3 Sections to invite them to include the Senior Member Elevation Process into their Section s activities to advance their candidates. Some of them are already making use of this process to their advantage.
Thank you! Now, let s get to work 18
