In-house Training can be arranged TRAINER S PROFILE Dr. Shahreen Mat Nayan, is a Communication/Education Professional, Qualitative Researcher, and Writer. Her academic and professional journey has taken her across four diverse countries, including the United States, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, and her home country Malaysia. Dr. Shahreen's extensive exposure to various cultural contexts has honed her interpersonal skills, cognitive adaptability, and pedagogical approach. Throughout her career, Dr. Shahreen has worked and collaborated with esteemed institutions such as the University of Malaya (Kuala Lumpur), Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan), the University of Ss Cyril and Methodius (Slovakia), Ericsson Malaysia, and the Employees Provident Fund (Malaysia). Her scholarly achievements are highlighted by the completion of her doctorate degree at the University of Denver, USA, where she garnered recognition through three research awards: the Arts, Humanities, and Social Science Divisional Dissertation Fellowship (2011- 2012), the Graduate Studies Doctoral Fellowship for Inclusive Engagement (2011-2012), and the Graduate Studies Doctoral Fellowship for Inclusive Excellence (2009-2010). Upon her return from Denver in 2012, Dr. Shahreen was further distinguished with the Best Journal Article Award in the Humanities and Social Science category by the Malaysian Scholarly Publication Council (MAPIM), under the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Dr. encompassing publications in both Malaysian and international journals. During her tenure at the University of Malaya, she served as a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Katha and the Malaysian Journal of Media Studies. In addition to her scholarly commitments, Dr. Shahreen has garnered valuable industry and management experience. Notably, she assumed the role of Deputy Director at the Centre for Civilisational Dialogue at the University of Malaya and participated as a CEO Fellow under the mentorship of Mr. Todd Ashton, President of Ericsson Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. When she is not dedicated to her professional endeavors, Dr. Shahreen finds fulfillment in tending to her personal interests, including cultivating her little garden, learning new languages, indulging in both fiction and non- fiction literature, and engaging in enriching dialogues with her numerous students and two awesome children.
