Introduction Sin led the children of Israel into captivity They pleaded for deliverance and revival Like the Psalmists, Christian youth should pray for the deliverance of and revival for their nation Revival, in this context, is the renewal of obedience to God s Word. It is the rekindling of first love for God. Deliverance is salvation or freedom from evil, harm, danger, or bondage.

Prevailing Conditions That Call For Revival And Deliverance Psalm 79:1-5; 80:4-6, 12-13; 81:1-12; 82:1-8; Isaiah 59:1-10 The wall of Jerusalem was broken down (exposure to danger) Godly and innocent people were killed Our physical and spiritual temples are being defiled Cultism, hooliganism, stealing, sexual immorality and other sins becoming normal in the society

Prevailing Conditions That Call For Revival And Deliverance The truth of God s Word is being scoffed by false preachers Nations are facing global health and economic crises The church is being mocked and ridiculed because of compromisers (Romans 2:21-24) Disobedience to God s Word Oppression of the less privileged people

Prayer For Revival And Deliverance Psalm 79:6-13; 80:1-3, 8-11; 83:1-18; 85:4-7; 2 Chronicles 7:13-14; 1 Timothy 2:1-3; Isaiah 55:7 Prayer for national deliverance and revival must start with repentance Youth should repent and forsake their sin before praying for any form of revival and deliverance Prayer for revival and deliverance should be according to the Scriptures

Prayer For Revival And Deliverance Contents of sincere prayer for revival and deliverance Pray for forgiveness of national sins, plea for mercy, seeking for deliverance from the hand of the wicked Pray for manifestation of God s power, preservation from oppressors, and that God will take over the land Pray for revival and deliverance, present needs, and God s guidance for the rulers Pray for commitment not to forsake God again, and that enemies of the church will be confounded Pray against the craftiness of unbelievers and enemies of our nation

Path To Continual Revival And Preservation Psalm 84:1-12; 1:1-3; Joshua 1:8 God s desire is for us to have continual revival and dominion Constantly desire fellowship with God and His children Praise God at all times, rely on God, live a righteous life, and abide by His word Study and meditate on God s Word daily for renewal of strength Be prayerful and trust God always Refuse to return to sinful life, fear God, and follow mercy and truth, righteousness and peace.
