Mission Objective 3 You had to use the data to make a choropleth map. This is a map which uses differences in shading, colour or symbols to indicate a value. You should have taken the numbers per region to make a key like the one below. Then you should have coloured in each region with the appropriate shade. Figure 1 - Example of a Choropleth Map Some of you may have tried to also show the number of people infected in each city. Whichever format you have chosen for this was up to you, however if it is not clear to the person marking it then you will lose one day. Days lost - If you made a mistake you have lost a 1 day Days left take one away from your previous days left (& minus any days lost today)
Mission Objective 4 Order of collection is up to you, you should have attempted to measure the distances to find the quickest route using string and a ruler. Days lost - If you made a mistake you have lost a 1 day Days left take one away from your previous days left (& minus any days lost today)
Mission Objective 5 If you only managed to give the 4 figure grid reference accurately then you loose a day for each error made. Errors costs lives remember. Days lost - If you made a mistake you have lost a 1 day Days left take one away from your previous days left (& minus any days lost today)
Mission Objective 5 For each site you should have given AT LEAST 2 positives AND 2 negatives. Failure to do so looses you precious time, subtract a day for each one without 2! Your final site decision is up to you. Which site will you select? If your decisions are made clear, you keep you day. If the person marking fails to understand it well that s another day lost and a day closure to your demise. Days lost - If you made a mistake you have lost a 1 day Days left take one away from your previous days left (& minus any days lost today)
Days lost For each mistake you made, you lost a day. Days left You started with 12 days, after each mission 1 day was removed. If you made no mistakes on your journey to safety, you would have survived with 6 days to spare. How did you do? Example Days lost 2 mistakes = 2 days lost Days left completed all 6 missions, 6 days completed Total days left = days left days lost therefore 6 - 2 = 4 days left!! Phew, I survived!
