1. LASSWADE HIGH SCHOOL GROUPS/CLUBS INFORMATION Thursday 23rdAugust 2018

2. S1 LOCKERS LOCKER APPLICATIONS For any S1 student who wishes to use a school locker this year, please go to the Second Floor Study area at breaktime Tuesday 21 August between 10:15 and 10:35 to receive an application form. FORMS should be returned on Thursday 23 August 2018 to the same place and time. For any students who has kept their form from the transition days, please hand these in on Thursday. Once applications have been processed, locker keys will be issued via your registration teacher in the next couple of weeks. PLEASE DO NOT HAND ANY APPLICATIONS INTO THE SCHOOL RECEPTION/OFFICE.

S2 S3 LOCKERS LOCKER APPLICATIONS For any S2-S3 students who wish to use a school locker this year, please go to the Second Floor Study area at breaktime Wednesday 22 August between 10:20 and 10:35 to receive an application form. FORMS should be returned on Monday 27 August 2018 to the same place and time. Once applications have been processed, locker keys will be issued via your registration teacher in the next couple of weeks. PLEASE DO NOT HAND ANY APPLICATIONS INTO THE SCHOOL RECEPTION/OFFICE.

S4 S6 LOCKERS LOCKER APPLICATIONS For any S4 S6 students who wish to use a school locker this year, please go to the Second Floor Study area at breaktime Tuesday 28 August between 10:20 and 10:35 to receive an application form. FORMS should be returned on Thursday 30 August 2018 to the same place and time. Once applications have been processed, locker keys will be issued via your registration teacher in the next couple of weeks. PLEASE DO NOT HAND ANY APPLICATIONS INTO THE SCHOOL RECEPTION/OFFICE.

5. UCAS EXHIBITION 4 SEPTEMBER 2018 You must register online if you are intending going to this event. If you have any problems, please see Mrs McLaren or Mrs Costello in Room 111.

6. Scottish Apprenticeship Show 3rdSeptember 2018 at EICC, Morrison Street, Edinburgh. BAE Systems, NHS Lothian and SDS are just some of the companies who will be exhibiting. Please give your name to Mrs Costello in Room 111 if you are interested.

7. LASSWADE RUGBY FIXTURES SATURDAY 25THAUGUST S2 - Away @ SMC Bus leaving High School at 9.00am S3 - Away @ SMC Bus leaving High School at 9.00am S4 Away @ SMC- Bus leaving High School at 9.ooam S1-S4 should return to High School around 12.30 -1pm.

8. S4 & S5 Students NEW YORK 2019 Interested in going to New York in the Feb break 2019 ? If so come along to a meeting in Room 306 on Monday 27thAug at 1.30pm. If interested but can not make the meeting the pick up a letter from the Maths Base.

9. WWI BATTLEFIELDS TRIP June 2019 Opportunity to visit the First World War Battlefields. Please collect a letter from the door of 117 by the 31st August. There are only 40 spaces available on the trip and it will be a first come first served basis. Open to new S3-S6.

10. YHA S3-S5 Earl s Court LONDON TRIP 2019 If you are interested in attending this trip please see Miss Conlan in room 118 for a letter. Cost: approx. 250 each (payable in instalments) Dates: 10th-13thJune 2019 Place to stay: YHA Earl s Court (see above) Places to visit: Houses of Parliament, Olympic Park, Natural History Museum, West End Show, London Eye, ArcellorMittal Orbit Sculpture... Travel: By train Staff: Miss Conlan, Miss Nicolson, Mr Shields ArcellorMittal Orbit

11. Photo Competition If you would like to enter a national Physical Geography photo competition with the theme: Geography in my life please see Miss Conlan (room 118) by Friday 24th August. (open to all year groups)

13. Letters for tickets for the 2018-19 Rugby Internationals can be collected from Mr. Mitchell in the Main Office.

14. Girls Rugby starts after school on Monday with Miss McKay 3:45pm 4:45pm . Meet in the PE Department. No Experience needed, come and give rugby a try !!!!

15. S1 School of Rugby Session Every Wednesday P6 + P7 S2 School of Rugby Session Every Tuesday P6 + P7

16. EXPEDITION MEETING THURS 30th AUG ROOM 128 1.15pm (BRING LUNCH)

17. S2 author visit on Thursday 23rd The author, Claire McFall, will be talking to all S2 students on Thursday 23rd. S2 students will register with their English teachers at the start of period 6 and then come down to the assembly hall. 2M students will do the same for period 7. There will be signed copies of the author's books available to buy at a cost of 6 each. The library also has copies of Claire s books to borrow.

18. Food Serveries Food Serveries 1 & 2 will both be open at lunchtime in the Atrium
