Graduation Requirements - Math 4 Credits Mathematics One credit from Algebra 1 Student must take and pass the Algebra 1 EOC (May) which counts as 30% of total grade in course Progress monitoring tests: August, December One credit from Geometry Student must take the Geometry EOC (May) which counts as 30% of total grade in course Progress monitoring tests: August, December

Grade Point Averages (GPA) Unweighted vs. Weighted Unweighted All classes count as listed and are then divided by the number of classes. A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0 Weighted Honors, AP, and Dual Enrollment grades are given more numerical weight Used to determine class rank Most colleges calculate their own GPA using only academic courses on a 5.0 scale

AP Capstone AP Capstone is a College Board program that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills that are increasingly valued by colleges. AP Capstone comprises two AP courses AP Seminar and AP Research and is designed to complement and enhance the discipline-specific study in other AP courses. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing receive the AP Capstone Diploma . Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research but not on four additional AP Exams receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate . Additional AP Courses include Literature, Language, Human Geography, US History, World History, European History, American Government, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Art, Drawing, Spanish, Computer Science, Psychology.
