Enforcement We take this very seriously We will suspend Coaches Parents Kids
1st grade is utter chaos 2nd grade up Competitively Balanced Teams using coaches' ratings after one year of play. Team Formation Grades 3/4 through 7-9-First time Coaches Draft! Players were ranked based on last years ratings and coaches participated in a Snake Draft over zoom. COED- Players were ranked based on previous years coaches ratings and knowledge of player in each grade and balanced teams were formed. These teams were formed last, because the players signed up last.
Focus on Safety and Fun Let s take a collective deep breath. We should still be focusing on healing and trying to bring more normalcy back into our lives, and into the lives of children. Anxiety, sadness, and isolation has taken it s toll on us all. Don t worry about the end result, but about the journey that each of your player takes to get there. If ever there is a year to praise everyone, this is it. Be Safe. Prevention is key. Masks are not required outside but continue to be safe. If you arenot vaccinated be responsible.
Practice/Game Reminders Remind parents to take temperatures prior to leaving the house. Anything over 100.4 is reason to STAY HOME Have the players stay in their cars until you get there. Masks are currently not required to be worn to practice. They are not required while playing but some kids feel safer with them on. Space the players and their bags out. (Good use of cones!) Coaches are the only ones to touch equipment. At practice, use drills in the beginning and end with a scrimmage or contact interaction. No High 5 s. At the end of the game, wave or say good job to the opposing team. Encourage the players to use hand sanitizer.
No sharing of equipment Avoid high 5 s, fist bumps and hugs Encourage players to physically distance on the sidelines Prevention is the Key to Safety Have players sanitize their hands at the end of the games. Remind players to cover their noses when coughing or sneezing with their arms. Yelling spread germs- DON T YELL REMIND PLAYERS AT THE END OF GAMES AND PRACTICE TO TAKE THEIR OWN WATER BOTTLES.
If you are aware that someone from your team has contracted COVID -19 Please contact the club president, Harry Rosen at: President@lsclub.com There is no shame, only concern for everyone s safety and health. The club has safety procedures that will be put in place including contacting the necessary teams, players and referees depending on the circumstance while maintaining the confidentiality of the player.
