Guest Players must be registered with PSA Baseball in DaySmart Players can play up but are not eligible to play down. 14. Baseball Rule Updates Coach Pitch Changes: Pitcher can make a play at 1st Base 1st Grade 6 pitches 2nd Grade 6 pitches or 3 strikes (whichever occurs first) These changes are designed to allow more at bats per game.

  15. Baseball Rule Updates NEW PITCHING GUIDELINES (Applies to MKP through 8th Grade) PSA Kid Pitch Rules RULE IX Pg 18 We are transitioning to pitch counts instead of innings pitched The Pitching Certificate will be updated by the end of the week to reflect the changes. Pitching Certificate can be found on the Rules Page Visiting Team is the Official Pitch Count Recorder Both teams are responsible for tracking their own pitch counts High School still has no limit, but there is a recommended limit of 125 pitches per week Official Recorder should report the number of pitches whenever requested and let the plate umpire know when a player reaches the limit. If a pitcher reaches a threshold during an at bat, he/she can complete that at bat without penalty. The days of rest requirement will not be extended due to that at bat. There is a daily max as well as a (weekly) 7-day max. No more than 2 consecutive days pitching no matter the number of pitches. Post Season Pitching limits will still apply, but the consecutive day rule will be suspended.
