Initiatives for the International Linear Collider (ILC) in Japan
The Tohoku ILC Promotion Council, established in 2009, aims to bring the ILC to Japan with support from various sectors. The recent re-election of key executives and ongoing projects signify Japan's strong commitment to hosting the ILC. Activities by the Tohoku ILC Planning Office and interest from government officials highlight Japan's efforts in creating a suitable environment for the scientific community. The presence of accelerator-related technologies and outstanding companies in the Tohoku region further strengthen Japan's potential for the ILC project.

Visit to DESY to see the European XFEL on October 23 After viewing this state-of-the-art technology, I am convinced that there is a strong possibility that the ILC can be constructed in Japan.
