Curriculum Coverage Look at class pages
Maths and English groups Across year 5 and 6 the children will be grouped according to their individual needs. This will ensure that the learning is focused and will allow the children to gain confidence in their ability in both core subjects. For updates on your child s progress in either english or maths please speak to your child s teacher of that subject. In parents review book a slot with your child s English or maths teacher
Water Bottles The school encourages children to bring fresh water every day. We ask that they take home their bottles daily, to be washed and re-filled. Hand washing Children are encouraged to wash their hands throughout the day. They are welcome to bring in hand sanitiser as long as it is used responsibly.
Homework A sheet scaffolding week s learning for maths Spellings pattern Half termly topic projects (share with class) Why it allow our children to respond to a variety of texts in different ways. They provide space for reflection and evaluation as well as speculation and exploration of ideas, giving us the valuable insight to pupils' thinking and comprehension skills as they engage with text Reading Journal weekly response to a book a child reads for pleasure All of our homework in year 5/6 will also be uploaded onto google classroom.
