Guidelines for CNSA 2022 INTRODUCTION & OBJECTIVES 6 Slide max ( Title Slide + 5 content slides) Create in PowerPoint and submit a .pptx Audio and Video encouraged Use universal formats ( .mp3, .m4a, .mp4) Use .pngs for the images ( refrain from jpg as this image quality is lost during the conversion) Using the template is optional, it is encouraged that you create an individual poster with your own branding, headings and colour schemes
Tips for a successful poster AIMS Simplify everything, avoid information overkill Leave ample space around your text. Don t overcrowd your poster. Use photographs and diagrams instead of text(.PNG format is preferred) Spell check and get someone else to proof-read your final version. CNSA 2022 Virtual Posters 3
MATERIALS & METHOD The titles and slide sequence are a guide only. View example posters on the presenter portal The layout is only a guide. You may choose to add more or less image/text boxes and move them about as required. Creativity is encouraged, but keep it clear and readable.
RESULTS Hyperlink and include digital references where necessary. Hyperlinking PDFs is a good way of providing additional information to your audience ( you will need to upload the PDF you wish to hyperlink to, separately from your poster in the upload portal) Think about the audience that will view your Digital Poster post conference embed videos, YouTube videos and audio commentary to effectively get your point across Use standard fonts ( if you are using a font that we don t have on the system, your conversion will revert to a standard font. Contact the helpdesk if you would like to use a certain font that you have downloaded to be on the safe side)
CONCLUSIONS Please try to capture your main points about your case within the 6 slide limit. Using Hyperlinks to external links, PDFs or videos can effectively provide information you might not be able to fit into your poster. Delegates will be able to contact you through the system if they have any questions or if they want to meet at the conference to discuss your work make sure your email address is correct & add your social media handles!
