Feedback and Highlights from Meet the Teacher Event September 2016

You Said We Did More information on what the children will be working on this year would have been good. The PowerPointsdisplayed at Meet the Teacher are now available on the School Website. The slide shows outline the contexts being delivered at each stage this term. Information regarding topics and homework. Class Blogs will continue to provide updates on the learning at each stage. Primary 1 Sharing basic information e.g. reward systems. Issuing a diary with homework information. A lot of general information is shared with parents/ carers at P1 Induction events in May & June. This information available to parents/ carers on the School Website. Information on P1 homework can be found on the P1 PowerPoint now available on the School Website. Interactive whiteboard information was going to fast I couldn t read it in one go. Thank you for this feedback. We will alter the timings accordingly. This information is available for reference on the School Website.
I really liked this year's meet the teacher it was a lot better I could bring the kids and I wasn't rushing to make a time slot. I think we should keep this format. My children were delighted and super excited to show us around their classrooms which was lovely. Timing was good. Allowing children was helpful as both parents could come without needing childcare. I thought the night went really well. My daughter was delighted she could come along and show us her school environment and tell us about her learning. It was also great to get a chance to meet her teacher who gave us a good insight into how the class were settling and what activities were coming up. Excellent night, and thank you to all involved for staying on after school hours to support it. Really good this year. Flexible drop in times, able to see around classroom, look at child's work on wall and classroom resources he has mentioned. Also ask questions about homework. My son was very excited to show me around his classroom.
