Empowering Latina Leadership Through Culture and Service
LYLAS (Love Yourself Like A Sister) is a group empowering Latina girls through cultural celebrations and leadership opportunities. They engage in community service like making lunches for the homeless, conduct outdoor team-building activities, and share diverse recipes. Join them on Mondays for a chance to connect, learn, and grow with supportive sponsors. For more information, contact Ms. Ortiz or Ms. McGhee.

LYLAS partnered with GSA & A-SPAN (Arlington Street Peoples Assistance Program) to bag lunches for the homeless. Both groups (LYLAS & GSA) raised money to buy supplies such as bread, deli meat, cheese, pretzels, and water to make this project possible.
Our Group loves to do outdoor team building activities. Where they can learn to work together, communicate respectively, and practice being patient.
LYLAS members love to share food from their country and family recipes! We plan activities that gives everyone the opportunity to connect and learn from each other.
