COSPAR Bureau Approves International Space Panel and Symposium Events
The COSPAR Bureau unanimously approved a list of Assembly Interdisciplinary Lectures, a public lecture on exoplanets, and an International Space Panel on Exploration. They also finalized the dates for the 43rd COSPAR Assembly in Sydney, Australia in August 2020. Additionally, various events and symposiums were agreed upon, alongside the decision to relocate the Secretariat office. Contact information was provided at the end of the document.

Laurie Barge) Sofia Randich (alt. Gerald Gilmore) Bruce Wielicki (alt. Graeme Stephens) Alex Hayes (alt. Hand, Senske) Worlds Pan Jianwei (alt. Anton Zeilinger) Daniel Baker and Mikhail Panasyuk Radiation Belts The Bureau also agrees on the proposed Public Lecture by Sarah Seager on Exoplanets and on holding as a Special Event an International Space Panel on Exploration. COSPAR 2020 The Bureau unanimously approves the period 15-23 August 2020 as the preferred dates for the 43rdCOSPAR Assembly to be held in Sydney, Australia.

Any other business Any other business The Bureau unanimously approves the project to move the Secretariat office from Paris to Montpellier and mandates the Executive Director: (1) to expedite its achievement in the best interest of COSPAR and its employees; and, (2) to report on its implementation to the Bureau in March 2018 in Paris.

Formal duties of NC /COSPAR Formal duties of NC /COSPAR The only formal duty for National Committee Representatives is to participate in COSPAR Council meetings/discussions. We hope that National Representatives will consult with members of the National Committees or the national space science community in general in order to encourage award nominations, nomination of candidates for office, contributions for COSPAR publications, compiling of the national report to COSPAR, etc.
